(a) The Fire Department of the Village may also consist of not more than five persons who are not trained Firefighters but are properly qualified as Emergency Medial Service Personnel pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4765.
(b) Notwithstanding any provision of the Codified Ordinances to the contrary Emergency Medical Service Personnel need not be trained as fire fighters and may not perform the duties of firefighters except those that are also duties of Emergency Medical Service Personnel pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4765 and that clearly do not require training as a fire fighter unless said Emergency Medical Service Personnel have been trained and qualified as firefighters as well.
(c) All sections of the Codified Ordinances of the Village pertaining to Firefighters and or Volunteer firefighters including but not limited to appointment, discharge, and Chapters 149 and 151 shall be applicable to Emergency Medical Service Personnel whether they are trained as firefighters or not.
