1327.03 AUTHORITY AND HOURS OF INSPECTOR.
   (a)   It shall be the duty of the Building and Zoning Inspector to enforce all laws, whether local, county or State, controlling safe building construction; to take immediate steps to remedy any unsafe condition constituting a danger or hazard to occupants of any building, or to the public, where any work is being done or where such conditions do exist; to insure structural, fire and health safety; to comply with and enforce all local, county and State building codes; to work closely with the Mayor, Police Chief and other Village officials and the Mahoning County Building Inspector to insure that all local, county and State Building codes are being enforced; to conduct drive-by inspections or property within the Village; to report to Council at regular monthly meetings and special meeting, if necessary, with regard to matters pertaining to the enforcement and regulation of all applicable building codes; and to follow up on any and all written requests from Council on written complaints they have received which pertain to the condition if any building located within the Village, or any matter relating to the enforcement of local, county and State building codes. The Building and Zoning Inspector has authority to enter any building or premises within the Village for the purpose of inspection or for the prevention of violation of the provisions of any local, county or State Building Code.
   (b)   The Building and Zoning Inspector shall be paid compensation as fixed by Council, payable in equal semi-monthly installments, in connection with the performance of his duties as defined in part 11 and 13 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Lowellville.
   (c)   The Building and Zoning Inspector shall be deputized in the manner provided and allowed by law. (Ord. 3225. Passed 8-10-04.)
