1325.03 RESTRICTIONS.
   Fences shall be permitted in required yards as follows, except as otherwise provided in the Zoning Ordinance or other municipal ordinances.
   (a)   Front Yard. Only ornamental fences shall be permitted in any front yard with a height not exceeding 36 inches. Such fence shall be no farther than 50% of the distance between the front yard property line and the farthest point of the front of the dwelling. Front side yard property lines shall also be included.
   (b)   Height; Side or Back Yard. No fence, as defined previously, hedge or wall shall be erected in any side yard with a height exceeding 48 inches or back yard with a height exceeding 72 inches.
   (c)   Open Ornamental Fences. Shall be permitted in Residential Zoning Districts A, B and C.
   (d)   Chain Link Fences. Shall be permitted in all zoning districts only in rear and side yards. Such fences may be erected parallel to and on, or approximately on, the common property line to a height not exceeding four feet above the natural grade.
   (e)   Privacy Fences. Shall be permitted in all zoning districts only in rear yards. Such fences shall comply with the yard requirements of a permitted accessory building and shall not exceed six feet in height above the natural grade.
   (f)   Shrubbery or Hedges. Shall be permitted in public facilities and Residential Zoning Districts.
   (g)   Electrified, Barbed Wire and Stockade Fences. Are hereby prohibited in all Zoning Districts.
   (h)   Other Fences. The Zoning Inspector may permit other fences similar in character and design to one or more of the permitted fences herein upon application. Other fences may require a variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals.
   (i)   When 2 driveways abut on separate properties, no side or rear yard fencing is permitted along the driveways. When a driveway falls on the property line, any fence erected on the abutting property and adjacent to the driveway, must be a minimum of 5 feet from the property line.
