1319.01 STANDARD FOR NEW DWELLING OR ADDITION.

Every new one, two or three- family dwelling structure, or any new addition to such dwelling structure, shall have properly installed thermal insulation with the resistance factor of R-19 (6" thickness) in or under the roof or in or above the uppermost ceiling of the structure, and shall have properly installed thermal insulation with the resistance factor of R-11 (3-1/2" thickness), in the outermost exterior sidewalls.
