The Town Council may, in its discretion, employ a Town Manager to serve at the pleasure of the Town Council or for a definite term not to exceed the longest remaining term in office of a member of the Town Council, upon such terms and conditions as may be agreed and whose employment shall always be terminable for cause. In case of the absence or disability of the Town Manager, the Town Council may designate some qualified person to perform the duties of the office.
