A Police Department applicant fee of up to $40 is hereby established for each person seeking employment with the Police Department. All applicant fees shall be paid at the time each application is submitted or prior to any testing of prospective applicants, but no applicant fee shall be charged to any person who has established indigence. Applicant fees shall be payable to the Clerk-Treasurer and receipted to the general fund.
