The Joint Gaston County Historic Properties Commission shall have all the powers and authority as prescribed in G.S. §§ 160A-399.1 through 160A-399.13, with the following exceptions.
(A) The Joint Gaston County Historic Properties Commission (G.C.H.P.C.) shall have the authority to acquire property designated by ordinance as historic property with any funds which may be appropriated for that purpose.
(B) All lands, buildings or structures acquired by the G.C.H.P.C, whether from private or public funds, may be acquired and held in the name of the Historic Properties Commission.
