§ 75.03  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CROSSINGS.
   The nature of crossings shall be such as shall best serve the public safety, and every crossing shall meet the following minimum requirements.
   (A)   A crossing, bridge or viaduct shall not be less than 20 feet in width, except that a crosswalk designed exclusively for use by pedestrians shall be not less than eight feet in width; measurement shall be taken from either edge of the travel lanes of said crossing, bridge or viaduct.
   (B)   Each such crossing shall be on level with the highest point of the rails and such level portion shall extend back from the edge of the crossties at least 20 feet.
   (C)   All crossings, viaducts and bridges shall be constructed at right angles to the railroad, except that upon good cause shown, the angle of the approach may be varied but in no event shall the most acute angle of intersection be less than 45 degrees.
   (D)   The approaches to such crossings, bridges or viaducts shall not exceed a grade of 30%, and shall not begin closer than 25 feet from the nearest edge of the crossties and ballast of the railroad.
