The city is currently under contract with the County of Sherman, Nebraska, to provide municipal law enforcement services. All municipal police officer rules and regulations shall be set by the Sherman County Sheriff as his or her deputies shall serve as municipal police officers. Should that contract ever terminate and the city reinstate its own law enforcement agency, it shall amend this ordinance and put into place such necessary rules and regulations are then required by Nebraska state statute.
