(A) The appointive offices of City Clerk and Municipal Treasurer are hereby combined and merged, in accordance with the authority granted to the Governing Body by § 33.16.
(B) The office so merged and combined shall always be construed to be separate, and the effect of the combination, or merger, shall be limited to a consolidation of official duties only.
(C) The salary of the officer holding the merged offices shall be set each December.
