Any person seeking elected office in the municipality shall be a registered voter prior to holding that office and in addition shall have reached the age of majority. The Mayor and members of the Council shall be residents and qualified electors of the city. They shall not hold any other public elective public office, except for officers of public power districts, public power and irrigation districts, and public utility companies.
