§ 34.01 STANDING COMMITTEES; GENERAL PROVISIONS.
   (A)   At the organizational meeting of the City Council, the Mayor shall appoint members of such standing committees as the City Council may by ordinance or resolution create. The membership of such standing committees may be changed at any time by the Mayor. The Mayor shall be a member ex officio of each standing committee. The members of the standing committees shall serve a term of office of one year, unless reappointed.
   (B)   The following standing committees shall be appointed or reappointed each year until changed by the Governing Body:
      (1)   Claims;
      (2)   Board of Park Commissioners;
      (3)   Licenses/Finance;
      (4)   Sanitation/Water;
      (5)   Streets;
      (6)   Ordinances;
      (7)   Ambulance Board;
      (8)   Technology/Energy; and
      (9)   Lottery.
   (C)   Each standing committee shall meet at least annually to organize for the year and at additional times throughout the year as necessary. Meeting of the committees shall be called by the Chair of each committee. The Chair shall be determined at the annual meeting of the committee and shall serve until the new Chair is appointed. The Mayor shall contact the committee Chair to notify them of any municipal business related to the committee.
