The Treasurer shall plan for and direct the collection, receipt, and disbursement of Metro Government's taxes and public money; direct and manage Metro Government's investment portfolio, project operating needs, consider the need for bond issues, supervise and manage the Metro Government's banking account, negotiate the purchase, sale, and exchange of securities, and consolidate the Metro Government's cash management system with other agencies.
