Any building used for public housing by private persons, firing ranges, and private dwellings owned, leased, or controlled by the Metro Government shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter. This chapter shall not apply to sworn officers of the Police Department, the Corrections Department, the Sheriff's office, the Buildings Security force, or any other duly sworn law enforcement officer authorized to carry concealed deadly weapons pursuant to KRS 527.020.
