For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPARTMENT.
The Louisville Metro Department of Public Works and Assets.
DIRECTOR.
The Director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Works and Assets.
DISTRICT A.
For the purpose of this chapter, a district in the boundary limits of the former City of Louisville is defined and shall hereafter be known and referred to as

DISTRICT A
shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Eighth Street and the north line of Main Street; running thence eastwardly with the north line of Main Street to its intersection with the west line of Floyd Street; thence southwardly with the west line of Floyd Street to its intersection with the north line of Muhammad Ali Boulevard; thence westwardly with the north line of Muhammad Ali Boulevard to its intersection with the west line of Brook Street; thence southwardly with the west line of Brook Street to its intersection with the south line of Gray Street; thence eastwardly with the south line of Gray Street to its intersection with the west line of Floyd Street; thence southwardly with the west line of Floyd Street to its intersection with the south line of Broadway; thence westwardly with the south line of Broadway to its intersection with the east line of Second Street; thence southwardly with the east line of Second Street to its intersection with the south line of York Street; thence westwardly with the south line of York Street to its intersection with the west line of Fifth Street; thence northwardly with the west line of Fifth Street to its intersection with the south line of Broadway; thence westwardly with the south line of Broadway to its intersection with the east line of Eighth Street; thence northwardly with the east line of Eighth Street to its intersection with the north line of Main Street, point of beginning. In addition District A shall include a corridor 50 feet wide, and based upon the following centerline:
Beginning at a point, said point being North 84 degrees 02 minutes 49 seconds West 153.77 feet from the northwest corner of a tract of land conveyed by deed to the Louisville Gas and Electric Company of record in Deed Book 1049, Page 502 in the Office of the Metro Clerk; thence along said baseline the following courses and distances: South 79 degrees 22 minutes 55 seconds East, 318.54 feet, and: South 84 degrees 44 minutes 59 seconds East, 839.94 feet, and: South 79 degrees 27 minutes 05 seconds East, 899.36 feet, and: North 87 degrees 49 minutes 19 seconds East, 763.53 feet, and: South 88 degrees 30 minutes 26 seconds East, 578.04 feet, and: terminating: South 88 degrees 41 minutes 10 seconds East, approximately 1,025 feet at the end of the baseline (the center of the LG&E tower located to the west of Clay Street).
