§ 35.103 SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY PAYMENTS.
   In the event an eligible employee dies or is permanently or temporarily disabled as a direct result of an in-the-line-of-duty injury and is, therefore, unable to perform his or her duties, the employee or the surviving spouse or dependent shall receive a supplemental salary payment. The supplemental salary payment shall be for a period of 12 months, except in the case of a temporary disability the payment shall be until the disability has been corrected or 12 months, whichever is less. The supplemental salary payment shall be made in a lump sum. The amount of the supplemental salary payment shall be the difference between the employee’s regular salary and any workmen’s compensation benefit and pension benefits due to or received by the employee.
