(A) Orders and notices of Louisville Fire Department shall be issued under the authority of the Chief.
(B) Orders and notices shall be effective when in writing. However, verbal orders shall be sufficient if an imminent hazard is deemed to exist, in the determination of the Chief, or designated representative.
(C) Every written order shall state its effective date and shall provide reasonable notice of the following:
(1) The grounds or alleged violation supporting the order;
(2) The provisions of law, regulations or ordinance pursuant to which action is taken or proposed to be taken;
(3) The date by which the alleged violation shall be corrected or eliminated and the correction recommended therefor; and
(4) Any other matters deemed necessary.
(D) Whenever a summary order is issued, the authorizing official shall incorporate findings to that effect in a written summary order and shall, within 24 hours, provide notice of such summary order to the owner or agent in person or by mailing it to either's principal place of business or residence of record with the Fire Department.
