§ 32.650 ESTABLISHED.
   (A)   There is created the West Louisville Economic Alliance Advisory Committee ("Advisory Committee") for the purpose of developing strategies to increase the competitiveness of West Louisville as a business location in order to increase jobs, income and wealth opportunities for residents of West Louisville. The Advisory Committee shall assist existing organizations and groups working for the same purposes, including but not limited to the West Louisville Economic Alliance ("Alliance") by:
      (1)   Monitoring and assessing the implementation of the Strategy Project;
      (2)   Working with the Alliance to raise funds to support implementation activities;
      (3)   Raising the consciousness of the region as to the competitive advantages of West Louisville as a place to do business;
   (B)    The Advisory Committee shall consist of a minimum of 18 members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Metro Council; the Mayor or his designee; and a member of the Metro Council designated by the President of the Council. The membership of the Advisory Committee shall be broad based with business and community interests represented.
   (C)   Appointed members of the Advisory Committee shall serve initial terms of one and two years and two-year terms thereafter. There shall be representatives from West Louisville and regional businesses, business representatives from targeted clusters, representative of the Empowerment Zone Community Board and the community at large.
   (D)   The Advisory Committee shall establish operating rules and procedures for the Advisory Committee.
   (E)   The Metro Government shall provide staff support for the Advisory Committee.
