951.07 REPAIR; REPLACEMENT; RESETTING; CHARGE.
   (a)    Should any water meter become damaged and out of repair by reason of freezing, by hot water being forced into it, by heat or by any carelessness or accident on the part of the consumer, the expense of repair or replacement thereof shall be paid by the consumer. The charge for removal and resetting of any meter necessitated by such cause shall be at the rate of "street time plus material".

   (b)    No charge will be made for the repair or replacement of any meter, except as defined in this section; but nothing set forth herein shall be construed to render the City liable for any repairs or replacements on private property, other than the water meter in the particular instances herein named.
