§ 35.20 EFFECT ON EXISTING ADDRESSES.
   (A)   Nothing in this subchapter affects existing town-type addresses which are satisfactory for 9-1-1 and emergency services purposes. To the extent that any existing addresses are inconsistent with the Statewide Addressing and Mapping Project or otherwise do not comply with the rules and regulations of the state’s Statewide Addressing and Mapping Board, the County Addressing Coordinator shall recommend changes to the town to aid in the accomplishment of the goals of the state’s Statewide Addressing and Mapping Project and his or her duties as set forth in the county’s 9-1-1 Addressing and Mapping Ordinance, § 3.
   (B)   However, nothing herein shall be construed so as to permit the County Addressing Coordinator to take any official action with respect to any such inconsistencies without the express authorization of the town.
