(A) One of the purposes of the governing body of the town is providing additional safety to life and property from fire and other hazards incident to the construction, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, use and occupancy of buildings, structures or premises.

(B) As new amendments to the technical codes are updated, it is the duty of the Building Inspector and/or Mayor to file a copy of each thereof in the office of the Recorder or Clerk and to notify the Town Council of such filings and his or her recommendations, if any, as to such changes therein as he or she may deem advisable in the interest of the town.
