337.31 AMBER COLORED FLASHING LIGHTS REQUIRED ON CERTAIN VEHICLES.
   (a)   Ohio R.C. 4313.17(C) permits the use of oscillating or rotating amber colored lights on certain motor vehicles operated within the State of Ohio, to-wit: emergency vehicles, road service vehicles servicing or towing a disabled vehicle, traffic line-stripers, snow plows, rural mail delivery vehicles, vehicles as provided in Ohio R.C. 4513.182 (4513.18.2). Department of Transportation maintenance vehicles, funeral hearses, funeral escort vehicles, and similar equipment operated by the department or local authorities.
   (b)   Council believes that it is in the interest of public safety to require all such vehicles noted in Ohio R.C. 4313.17(C) as being permitted to use such amber colored safety lights along with any slow moving or irregularly operated vehicles to be required to use such lights when operating on the public streets within the Village.
   (c)   All of the foregoing vehicles referenced in Ohio R.C. 4313.17(C), together with all slow moving and irregularly operated vehicles shall display oscillating and/or rotating amber safety lights when being operated within the Village.
