142.03 PARKS, GROUNDS AND BUILDINGS SUPERINTENDENT.

   (a)   The duties of the Parks, Grounds and Buildings Superintendent shall be as follows:

      (1)   To oversee the operation of the Village Parks.

      (2)   Complete maintenance of all Village lawns, flower beds, etc.

      (3)   Snow removal of all Village parking lots and walkways.

      (4)   Making necessary repairs as required within the realm of his ability, such as sealing parking lots, relining parking lots, repairing broken curbing, replacing exterior lighting and other general maintenance needed for the public Parks, Grounds and Buildings of the Village.

      (5)   Assist the Street Commissioner in snow and ice control during emergency situations only.

      (6)   Maintain an active inventory needed for the public Parks, Grounds and Buildings of the Village.

      (7)   Schedule meetings in the various buildings of the Village and see to proper maintenance of the public Parks, Grounds and Buildings of the Village.

      (8)   Maintain the buildings of the Village by seeing that they are kept clean and in good repair.

      (9)   Order all supplies for maintaining the Parks, Grounds and Buildings of the Village and recommend supply alternative.

      (10)   All other duties as requested by the Mayor or Village Council concerning public Parks, Grounds and Buildings of the Village.

   (b)   The Superintendent of Parks, Grounds and Buildings shall be under the authority of the Mayor and appropriate Council Committee(s).
