(a) In any situation involving a motor vehicle, where because of accident, emergency, absent owner or operator or when required by law or ordinance the vehicle must be removed from a location, towed and stored, and the owner or operator cannot or does not exercise a preference for a towing service the Village will provide for such service for the owner or operator by a towing firm licensed pursuant to this chapter.
(b) Whenever a police officer requests a motor vehicle to be towed and impounded, for evidence, only towing firms licensed by the Village shall be used.
