186.12 WATERCRAFT DISPLAY FLAG; USE.
   (a)   The display of a distress flag and/or day and night flares, in accordance with Federal regulation, indicates that a watercraft or a person is in distress and in need of help.
   (b)   No person shall operate a watercraft upon the waters of Lorain unless the watercraft carries the above described equipment according to Federal regulation, except a canoe or row boat upon nonnavigable waterways.
   (c)   No person shall display such equipment, unless a watercraft or a person is in distress and in need of help. (Ord. 98-81. Passed 6-15-81.)
