The Property Maintenance Code provisions are an additional chapter of the Codified Ordinances and do not replace or modify standards otherwise established for construction, replacement or repair of buildings. Where a provision of this chapter is found to be in conflict with any provision in any building, zoning, housing or health department ordinance or regulation, or any other ordinance or statute of this State or the United States of America, then the provisions which establish the higher standard for the protection of health, safety, and welfare shall prevail, and nothing in this chapter shall be construed to supersede, limit, modify or replace any other powers or duties of the Board of Health, Fire Chief or Electrical Inspector of the City.
