This Electrical Code and the regulations included herein shall cover the electrical conductors, apparatus and equipment and the installation, alteration or repair of same for purposes of supplying and utilizing electricity for light, heat, power, signal and controls, within or on public and private buildings and other structures and premises within the City, including yards, carnival lots, sales lots, parking lots, trailer or mobile home parks, industrial substations, boat marinas, places of outdoor assembly and/or recreation and electric signs and displays, also the conductors that connect the installations to a supply of electricity, and other outside conductors on or adjacent to the premises.
This Electrical Code does not cover installations in mines, ships, railway cars, automotive equipment or aircraft, or the installations and equipment employed by a railway or an electric or communication utility in the exercise of its function as a utility and located outdoors or in buildings used exclusively for that purpose.
