1501.06 OTHER CERTIFICATES.
   (a)   For Completed Structures. Upon the completion of the construction, alteration or repair of a structure, the Chief Building Inspector shall, if requested by the permittee, issue a certificate to the effect that the structure has been completed in conformity with the provisions of the Building Code and indicating the use or uses to which the structure may thereafter be put and to what extent.
   (b)   For Completed Installations. When a certificate is specifically required by a provision of law for an installation, extension, alteration or repair of an elevator or elevator equipment, plumbing, gas piping, electric wiring or heating system, no person shall use or permit the use of the installation, equipment or appliance to which such provision applies, until the appropriate certificate has been issued.
