(a) All recyclable materials shall be placed in blue bags and shall be transported by the Contractor in a vehicle specially designated for recyclable materials only. Collection shall be at the rate of (1) collection on the day designated for regular collection.
(b) All solid waste set out for collection by the owner or occupant of every billing unit within the City shall be set out for collection so that recyclable materials are separated from solid waste, except if the recyclable material is employed in the disposal of other solid waste or if the recyclable material has become contaminated.
(c) The separation of recyclable material is required and such material shall be set out for collection as follows:
(1) Used beverage cans, glass containers, plastic bottles and tin/bimetal containers shall be placed together in a designated recycling bin or bag. The disposal of any other material not listed above is prohibited.
(2) Newspaper shall be placed together in a designated recycling bin or bag. Newspapers may also be bound or put in paper sacks and placed on top of a recycling bin for collection. The disposal of any other paper material including cardboard is prohibited.
