735.08 DEALERS IN SCRAP IRON, METAL, AND WASTE MATERIALS TO KEEP RECORD OF TRANSACTIONS.
   (a)   Every dealer in scrap iron, metal, and waste materials shall maintain a book of records, in which he shall keep an accurate and complete record of all articles purchased or received by him in the course of his daily business. Said records shall contain the name, description, and residence of the person from whom said articles were purchased or received and the date and hour when such purchases or change were made.
   (b)   All scrap iron, metal, journal brasses, and other railroad metals, other than purchases and sales under Ohio R.C. 4973.13 to 4973.16, inclusive shall be held by the dealer for a period of 72-business hours after being purchased or acquired.
   (c)   Such records shall be open for inspection by the representative of any law enforcement agency at all business hours.
