ORDINANCE NO. 2006-202

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CITY CODE FOR THE CITY OF LONSDALE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the second supplement to the City Code of the City of Lonsdale, which contains all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the prior supplement to the City Code of the City of Lonsdale; and

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the City Code which are based on or make reference to sections of Minnesota State Statutes; and

   WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to accept these updated section in accordance with the changes of the law in the State of Minnesota; and

   WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipality and for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the municipality that this ordinance take effect at an early date.

   NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LONSDALE, MINNESOTA:

   1.   That the second supplement to the City Code of Ordinances of the City of Lonsdale as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and as attached hereto, be and the same is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety.

   2.   The City Administrator is hereby authorized and ordered to insert such supplement into the City Code kept on file in City Hall.

   3.   This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the people of this municipality,

Effective immediately upon acceptance of City Council and published in the official newspaper.

Adopted by the City Council this 30th day of November, 2006.
