(a) Save and except as otherwise stated herein, it shall be unlawful for any owner, keeper, or person to keep, for a period in excess of ten consecutive days without the approval of the animal control authority, any livestock in any shed, stable, pen or other enclosure at a distance less than 500 feet from any adjoining lot or tract of land in any residential district or less than 500 feet from any business establishment or structure, or any building used for sleeping or dispensing food.
(b) All such livestock shall be maintained in a properly fenced pen, corral, or other enclosure.
(c) Proper animal husbandry practices and sanitation as required by state law and this chapter shall be maintained.
