Failure on the part of any property owner, their renter, lessee, agent or personal representative to discontinue the use of a cross connection, meet testing and maintenance requirements, or to abide by all the conditions of this chapter is sufficient cause to: a) immediately discontinue water service by the city to the premises or the city; or b) install a reduced pressure backflow assembly at the meter. The city reserves the right to cause the assembly to be installed at the service connection by a third party. All cost associated with the purchase, installation, and initial test of this assembly will be reflected on the water user's current water bill and is subject to all collection policies as stipulated by the city.
