9-4-1: DEFINITIONS:
The following definitions apply to this chapter:
CURRENT RATES: The current rates of the utility system at the time of reconnection.
CUSTOMER: The user of the water, sewer or storm water service. The "customer" must be an owner of the property requesting service.
DISCONTINUED ASSESSMENT: The current rates multiplied by the discontinued period.
DISCONTINUED PERIOD: The number of months the service has been disconnected, not to exceed sixty (60) months.
EXISTING ACCOUNT: An account where the service has been discontinued for a period less than five (5) years.
EXPIRED ACCOUNT: An account where the service has been discontinued for longer than five (5) years.
NEW HOOKUP FEES: The current fees for new service for water, sewer and storm water.
PAST DUE AMOUNT: The amount delinquent from an existing account.
REINSTALL COSTS: The actual costs to reinstall the water meter or two hundred dollars ($200.00), whichever is greater.
REMOVAL COSTS: The actual costs to remove the water meter or two hundred dollars ($200.00), whichever is greater. (Ord. 741, 1-18-2000)
