A. Creation; Terms: There is created a Civil Service Commission for the City Police Department, the membership of which shall consist of three (3) citizens of the City, being residents of the City for three (3) years or longer and being registered electors, with each term of office being six (6) years; provided, that from the original commission being appointed, position no. 1 shall be for six (6) years; position no. 2 shall be for four (4) years; and position no. 3 shall be for two (2) years.
B. Appointment; Qualifications: The commission members shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to ratification and approval of the City Council, and the commission members shall be qualified and serve under the provisions of Revised Code of Washington 41.12.030 and 41.12.040. (1988 Code § 2.20.030)
