1-10-6: PROCESSING OF PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS - ELECTRONIC RECORDS:
   A.   Requesting Electronic Records: The process for requesting electronic public records is the same as for requesting paper public records.
   B.   Providing Electronic Records: If public records are requested in an electronic format, the PRO will provide the nonexempt records or portions of such records that are reasonably locatable in an electronic format that is used by the agency and is generally commercially available, or in a format that is reasonably translatable from the format in which the agency keeps the record. Costs for providing electronic records are governed by PRA Rule 070 below.
   C.   Retaining Electronic Copies: Because an electronic record is usually more susceptible to manipulation and alteration than a paper record, the City will keep, when feasible, an electronic copy of the electronic records it provides to a requestor to be able to show the exact records it provided if necessary.
