2-1-1: COMMISSION CREATED; MEMBERSHIP; QUALIFICATIONS; TERMS:
A city planning commission may be created for the city. If created, it shall consist of five (5) appointive members, all of whom shall be residents and voters of the city of Lone Grove, and the city engineer or code enforcement officer (if any) as ex officio member. Unless otherwise appointed by the mayor and council, the members of the planning commission shall be the council members on the city council. If members other than the city council are appointed, the appointive members shall be nominated by the mayor and appointed by the city council and shall serve for terms of three (3) years, the terms to end on the first Monday in May. Of the original appointive members, one shall serve until the first Monday in the next May after appointment; two (2) shall serve until the first Monday in May a year later; and two (2) shall serve until the first Monday in May two (2) years later.
