All electrical materials and equipment and the method of installation thereof shall be in conformity with the provisions of this chapter. Where no specific standards are prescribed by this chapter, then such materials, equipment and installation shall be in conformity with approved standards for safety to person and property, and compliance with the regulations set forth in the current National Electrical Code.
