11-2-1: CODES ADOPTED:
The State of Oklahoma through the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission utilizing the Secretary of State's Office of Administrative Rules process, has formally adopted the 2014 International Residential Code for one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses, as amended and modified in Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 748: 20-5-1 to 20-5-23, effective November 1, 2015, and the commercial building codes, including the 2014 International Building Code, 2014 International Existing Building Code, 2014 International Fire Code, 2014 International Fuel Gas Code, 2014 International Mechanical Code, 2014 International Plumbing Code and the 2014 National Electrical Code, as amended and modified in the Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 748: 20-1-1 to 748: 10-15-16, effective November 1, 2015, to be the minimum standards for residential and commercial building codes throughout the State of Oklahoma including the rural areas of the State, 59 Oklahoma Statutes sections 1000.20 through 1000.29.
The City of Lone Grove adopts these current amended and/or modified editions, as well as any future editions or revisions, and amended and/or modified versions of these codes, to be the minimum standards for residential and commercial construction with the exception of National Electrical Code; Concrete-Encased Electrode, article 250, section III, 250.52 item (3); in addition it shall be required that all new construction shall use a ground rod(s) electrode.
