11-1-9: VARIANCES:
The code enforcement officer shall have the right to issue variance orders, in his discretion, as to specific locations of proposed constructions, if, in the opinion of the code enforcement officer, the variance would best serve the general construction area, and the particular mode of the structure or dwelling proposed to be built. The code enforcement officer shall not have the right to require higher standards for construction of dwellings or commercial buildings than set out in this chapter.
