A. The roofing contractor registration act is attached as an addendum to the ordinance codified herein as a reference and is made a part of this section by reference.
B. A roofing contractor operating within the city limits of Lone Grove shall be properly registered with the state as provided for in the act.
C. A roofing contractor shall comply with state laws and local ordinances relating to standards and permits and operation with the city limits of Lone Grove as provided for in the act.
D. A roofing contractor shall present to the city a certificate of registration.
E. A roofing contractor shall present to the city a certificate of liability in an amount of not less than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00).
F. A roofing contractor shall present to the city proof of satisfactory coverage of workers' compensation liability or an affidavit of exemption.
G. A roofing contractor shall pay an initial registration fee as specified in section 11-1-8 of this chapter to the city of Lone Grove for a license to operate within the city limits.
H. A roofing contractor shall pay a renewal fee as specified in section 11-1-8 of this chapter.
I. A roofing contractor's license renewal with the city shall coincide with contractor's date of birth.
J. A building permit fee as specified in section 11-1-8 of this chapter shall be assessed for roofing inspection, single application.
K. Exemptions to registration within the city limits of Lone Grove shall be the same as exemptions listed by the state.
L. A person who violates any provision of the act or this section within the city limits of Lone Grove shall be guilty of a misdemeanor which shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00). (Ord. 2012-246, 10-22-2012, eff. 11-22-2012)
