The council shall require the city manager, the city treasurer, the city clerk, and any other officers and employees as it may designate by ordinance to give bond for the faithful performance of their duties in such amount and form as the council shall prescribe. The city shall pay the premiums on such bonds. The city may require the officer to secure the bond within ten (10) days after his election or appointment. (1990 Code § 2-306; amd. 2006 Code)
