Any owner or occupant of the premises on which the abandoned motor vehicle is located, after receiving notice to abate in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, may, within ten (10) days after service of notice to abate the public nuisance, request a public hearing prior to the removal of the abandoned vehicle or part thereof declared to be a public nuisance. Such hearing shall be heard before the chief of police. Any order requiring the removal of a vehicle or part thereof shall include a description of the vehicle and the correct identification number and license number of the vehicle, if available, at the site.
