(a) Any person who shall violate a provision of this code shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for a first offense. If a second offense occurs within a 12-month period, said violation shall be a fourth degree misdemeanor, subject to a maximum penalty of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) and/or 30 days in jail. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
(b) The application of the penalty provided in Section 1442.99 shall not be deemed to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions or the application of any other equitable remedy.
