260.05 MEDICAL INSURANCE; LIFE INSURANCE.
   (a)   (1)   Effective January 1, 2015, the City shall pay 85% of the premium cost of a hospitalization and health care plan. Employees shall pay 15% of the premium cost.
      (2)   The City will provide an employer-funded HRA at a rate equal to 75% of the applicable deductible. The City's portion of the deductible shall be paid first. The reimbursement of the co-insurance shall remain in effect subject to the provisions of Section 260.06.
   (b)   The Auditor of the City is hereby authorized and directed to obtain a contract covering the medical and hospitalization expenses of each of the employees specified in subsection (a) hereof, including the spouse and any children of such employees.
   (c)   The Mayor, Safety-Service Director and Auditor of the City are hereby authorized and directed to select by a majority vote the medical and hospitalization insurance which best meets the needs of the employees specified in subsection (a) hereof, while affording the least cost to the City.
   (d)   The Auditor of the City is authorized and directed to pay for the insurance coverage provided for in subsections (b) and (c) hereof out of funds appropriated for such, purpose.
   (e)   In addition to all other compensation and medical insurance, as provided in this section, the City shall provide life insurance and accidental death insurance as a part of the employee benefit package in an amount to be determined by the authorized officials referred to in subsection (c) hereof.
