Every application for a building permit shall be accompanied by plans according to the occupancy for which the work is intended, provided, however, that this section shall not apply to any application submitted for minor alterations and repairs. In all other instances, plan requirements may be limited to the extent that the plans submitted shall be adequate for the Building Department to determine if the proposed building, alteration or addition, and equipment will conform in safety and sanitation to all applicable provisions of this Building Code.
