This Building Code is not intended to interfere with, abrogate or annul any ordinances, regulations, rules or permits previously adopted or issued and not in conflict with any of the provisions of this Building Code, or which shall be adopted or issued pursuant to law, relating to the construction, alteration, equipment, use, occupancy, location, maintenance, moving or demolition of buildings and structures, provided, however, that where this Building Code imposes a greater restriction upon the construction, use of premises or height of buildings, or requires larger open spaces or larger lot areas than are imposed or required by such other ordinances, regulations, rules or permits, the provisions of this Building Code shall apply.
