678.09 DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND OTHER WEAPONS.
   (a)   No person shall discharge any firearm within the corporate limits, except in self- defense or by law enforcement personnel or military personnel in the discharge of their official duty or in the killing of a dog under the provisions of Ohio R.C. 955.28. Dog wardens are restricted to the use of nonlethal firearms in the line of official duty on the pick-up of sick or stray animals, with the exception of official disposal according to law at the impounding area.

   (b)   No person shall maliciously or recklessly throw, shoot, cast or sling, by hand or by means of a slingshot, bow, air gun or otherwise, any stone, arrow, pellet or other missile.
   (c)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
