608.18 FURNISHING FALSE INFORMATION OR REFUSING TO PROVIDE IDENTIFICATION TO POLICE OFFICERS.
   (a)   No person shall knowingly give, or assist in giving, any false or fictitious information relative to the name, address or date of birth of any person to any law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his or her duties.
   (b)   No person shall, upon request of any person known by him or her to be a law enforcement officer, through identification, refuse to identify himself or herself to such officer if, at the time of such request, such officer is engaged in the performance of his or her duties.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
