§ 157.232 PURPOSE AND INTENT.
   (A)   The purpose of §§ 157.231 to 157.241 of this chapter is to promote and protect the public health, safety, and welfare by regulating amusement arcades where mechanically or electronically operated amusement devices are kept, operated or maintained.
   (B)   It is the intent of these sections to regulate amusement arcades, as defined herein, in such a manner as to protect the safety of such establishment's patrons, to reduce the potential for injury or harm to the welfare of youth and to reduce the incidence of juvenile crime within the city.
   (C)   It is further the intent of these sections to coordinate these provisions of the zoning code with the provisions of Chapter 118 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Logan providing for the regulating and licensing of mechanical amusement devises. In the event of a conflict between the provisions of these sections and the provisions of Chapter 118 of the Codified Ordinances, the more restrictive requirement or the regulation imposing the more severe penalty shall prevail.
